Inter captain Samir Handanovic was vital to his team taking a draw into the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tie against AC Milan thanks to some of his saves yesterday evening.

The Slovenian received positive scores for his display in goal across the board in the player ratings for the match in Italian media, as reported by L’Interista.

Handanovic did have a couple nervy moments in possession, including being partially responsible for a bad giveaway by Marcelo Brozovic which nearly allowed Rade Krunic to put the Rossoneri ahead in the first half.

However, the captain also showed his shot-stopping prowess whenever Milan managed to get a shot on target, and his heroics in goal made sure that the match stayed goalless and fully in the balance in the second leg.

The Corriere dello Sport and TuttoMercatoWeb felt that the 37-year-old’s display was worthy of a 6/10 score, whilst L’Interista awarded him a 6.5/10 grade and the Gazzetta dello Sport went to 7/10.
