Inter’s lack of form in front of goal in recent weeks has highlighted the need for the team to reinforce their attack in the summer, and the club already have clear ideas of how they want to strengthen.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca is the main target whilst Lille striker Jonathan David is a more ambitious goal and Juventus’s Paulo Dybala could be an opportunity on a free transfer.

Lautaro Martinez in particular has looked a shadow of himself in front of goal, but the entire Nerazzurri team has looked without any incisiveness in trying to score in their recent matches.

It is clear that a player or players will have to be brought in during the summer transfer window to add another dimension to the attack based on recent performances.

Scamacca is a player who the Nerazzurri have been strongly linked with for some time, whilst young Canadian striker Jonathan David would be a dream target based on his form in Ligue 1 this season.

Meanwhile, a swoop for Dybala is well within the realm of possibility should he not agree a contract extension with the Bianconeri, whilst a sensational return for Romelu Lukaku is more of a “mirage” according to the Gazzetta.
