At least 5000 Salernitana fans are expected to make the trip north to see their side take on Salernitana on Friday night, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, a sizeable following will make the very long journey from Salerno all the way to Milan on Friday. The scheduling of the match is not ideal for the Salernitana fans that live in Salerno.

Of those 5000 fans, it is expected that 32700 of them will be in the designated away end but the rest will be dispersed around the stadium as there is no restriction on where they are allowed to sit for this match.

Football stadiums in Italy are back to welcoming a 75% capacity crowd now after the Omicron variant of Covid-19 saw attendances limited to 50% capacity and at one point, 5000 fans altogether.

The game kicks off at 20:45 local time at San Siro.
