Football intermediary Sandro Stamperini has said that Inter are still the favourites to win the Serie A title this season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Speaking during an interview with TMW Radio, Sandro Stamperini explained that even though some games are not turning out how Inter would have wanted right now, they still remain the favourites to defend their crown.

“It’s a great team. But when things don’t turn out well there are certain bad moments. Inter remain the favourite to win the championship.”

Inter are in their first serious bad patch of form since Simone Inzaghi took charge of the team but they will be facing the team at the bottom of the table at San Siro on Friday night, Salernitana.

When asked if he now sees Juventus as being in the run for the Scudetto, Sandro Stamperini said that their goal is the Champions League but they cannot be ruled out.

“The goal is the Champions League. But the others have slipped a bit.”

Sandro Stamperini also showed enjoyment for the division as a whole. There is no question that it is the best title race in the top leagues right now.

“This year’s Serie A is a league that seems more fun than in other years. Everything is still open and everyone can reach the goal.”
