Inter’s players will go home after training on Thursday rather than stay at the training ground overnight until the game, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport, via FCInternews, the plans ahead of the game against Salernitana have been changed.

Normal procedure would see the team train the day before the game and then remain at the training ground until the match the next day.

It is not clear why the situation has been changed, but after training has been completed at Appiano Gentile on Thursday afternoon, the players will go back to their homes before returning to the training ground on Friday.

The match will be played at 20:45 local time on Friday evening so there will still be preparations to be done during the daytime on Friday.

Inter can go back to the top of the table if they take all three points.
