Inter striker Edin Dzeko is in need of a rest but Simone Inzaghi cannot risk not taking all three points against Salernitana on Friday night, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera today, the Bosnian forward needs to be rested soon as he can not maintain his level for the number of games that Inter have coming up in close succession.

Simone Inzaghi is highly unlikely to rest him against Salernitana though as he simply must take all three points against the team at the bottom of the Serie A table.

The Bosnian forward was rested against Sassuolo recently but Inter found themselves losing the game 2-0. His creative influence and goalscoring has been vital all season long for Inter.

If Inter do manage to get into a commanding lead relatively early in the game, expect Edin Dzeko to be replaced.
