Matteo Darmian and Federico Dimarco are the contenders to take the place of Ivan Perisic in the Inter starting eleven against Salernitana tonight, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, the Croatian winger is in need of a rest but Robin Gosens is not yet fit enough to start the game for the Nerazzurri.

That means that the ever-versatile Matteo Darmiam may be asked to play on the left wing by Simone Inzaghi, or he could hand that place to Federico Dimarco who is a more natural fit for the role.

There is a chance that Robin Gosens will be brought off of the bench during the match but that will largely depend on the scoreline at the time.

Hakan Calhanoglu is also expected to be given a rest ahead of the Champions League second leg against Liverpool. Roberto Gagliardini is the most likely replacement.
