Inter are evaluating three different young midfielders that they think could make a difference to the squad for the 2022/23 season, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, there is likely to be an overhaul of Inter’s midfield in the summer as Matias Vecino is set to depart and none of Arturo Vidal, Roberto Gagliardini, or Stefano Sensi have very secure futures at the club.

The obvious target that has been widely reported is Sassuolo midfielder Davie Frattesi. The young Italian has impressed for the Neroverdi and is thought to be very keen on joining Inter.

Another option is AS Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar who fell out of favour under Jose Mourinho this season and is now on loan at Getafe.

Inter have also been linked with Lecce’s Morten Hjulmand. The young Dane has been key to their push for promotion.
