Inter forward Lautaro Martinez will be hoping to repeat his performance the last time Inter played Salernitana and break out of his barren run in front of goal, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, the Argentine forward has not scored in the league for Inter since they played against Salernitana in Salerno in December.

Since then he has scored twice for the Argentina national team and he scored from the penalty spot against Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana final.

Simone Inzaghi will be desperately hoping that this is the game where the striker gets back to his best and finds the back of the net.

It is essential for Inter that he gets back to scoring ways as he is supposed to be one of the two major sources of goals for the Nerazzurri but in recent weeks he has not lived up to that billing.
