Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will play against Salernitana tonight despite being in need of a rest, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Marcelo Brozovic clearly needs to be rested but with the importance of the game against Salernitana and the lack of a credible replacement, Simone Inzaghi has no choice but to start the game with him in the midfield.

He has been a vital part of the Inter team for two or three years now but none of the other midfielders in the bench can dictate the team like he can, which is why Inter will be entering the transfer market for a backup in the summer.

He trained with a bandage beneath his knee yesterday which was the result of a knock he picked up in the Coppa Italia game against AC Milan on Tuesday night.
