Simone Inzaghi may use Alexis Sanchez as an attacking midfielder behind Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez against Salernitana on Friday night, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Simone Inzaghi must find a way to get his Inter team scoring goals again as they have hit a dry spell.

As he did in the second half against Sassuolo, one way that Simone Inzaghi can shake things up is to have Alexis Sanchez, Lautaro Martinez, and Edin Dzeko all on the pitch at the same time.

In order for this to happen whilst keeping Inter’s shape largely the same, he would likely have to play a 3-4-1-2 formation, meaning Alexis Sanchez comes into the team in place of one of the three usual central midfielders.

Seeing as Hakan Calhanoglu is likely to be given a rest in this game, there is scope for it to happen.
