Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella gave a highly convincing performance in yesterday’s 5-0 Serie A win over Salernitana, and he has been recognized for it in Italian media.

The 25-year-old received high scores and glowing praise for his display across the board in the player ratings for the match in Italian media today, as reported by Italian news outlet L’Interista.

Barella nearly assisted a goal for Lautaro Martinez with an excellent long ball from which the Argentine hit the post, but then the striker did quickly score two from well-taken assists by the midfielder.

These two assists capped off a display in which the 25-year-old had full control of the midfield over the Salernitana players, along with teammates Marcelo Brozovic and Hakan Calhanoglu.

All of Tuttosport, the Corriere dello Sport, and the Corriere della Sera felt that the midfielder’s performance was worthy of a 7.5/10 grade, whilst TuttoMercatoWeb, L’Interista, and the Gazzetta dello Sport went one higher to 8/10.
