Inter striker Lautaro Martinez did not only take the chance to put his bad form in front of goal behind him against Salernitana yesterday evening, he made it a distant memory.

The Argentine received excellent scores in the player ratings for the match from Italian media, as reported by L’Interista, and was praised for getting well past the goal drought that had been affecting him.

Martinez’s lack of goals had become a serious problem for the Nerazzurri, and it was far from clear that he would be able to find the back of the net against Salernitana.

The 24-year-old found his confidence, however, constantly menacing the Salernitana defenders and racing to a hat-trick which the team will be hoping has him fully back to his best.

The likes of Tuttosport and TuttoMercatoWeb deemed the Argentine’s display to be worthy of an 8/10 grade, whilst the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Corriere dello Sport, the Corriere della Sera, and L’Interista all went as high as 8.5/10.
