Inter will return to contract extension talks with Ivan Perisic and Samir Handanovic after the international break later this month is over.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the club have put a timeline on the negotiations to pick up after the break.

Perisic and captain Handanovic both see their current deals run out at the end of June, but the will of the club is to keep both players in the team for at least one or two more seasons.

Contract extension talks began with the pair at the start of last month, and the club believe that they can find agreements on new deals with both of the pair.

The talks are on hold for the time being, but will reportedly resume in a few weeks’ time when the players are back from representing their international teams during the break.
