Inter are tracking the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram and Lille’s Jonathan David as two of their major attacking targets for the summer transfer window.

This according to Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi, who reported on his YouTube channel, via FCInter1908, that the pair are two players on the Nerazzurri’s radar to freshen up their attack, especially in the event that Alexis Sanchez departs.

Thuram has been a player of interest to Inter since the summer, when the French international had been among the team’s main targets to reinforce their attack following the sale of Romelu Lukaku.

An injury to the 24-year-old meant that Inter cooled down their interest in singing him last summer, but they could resume their pursuit of him ahead of next season.

Meanwhile, Lille’s David has been one of the most in-form young strikers in a top European league this campaign, and is being closely followed by Inter.

“Inter continue to work on the transfer market,” Barzaghi said. “Their goals are Bremer, Scamacca, and Frattesi, but not just them.”

“The Nerazzurri are following interesting young players such as Viti and Parisi at Empoli, but they’re also monitoring Jonathan David at Lille very, very closely for their attack, though he’d cost a lot,” the journalist continued.

“Not to mention Thuram,” he added, “who could arrive along with another reinforcement (a first striker or a David-like player) in the event that Sanchez leaves, which I think he will.”
