Legendary former Inter, Roma, and Real Madrid forward Antonio Cassano feels that the Nerazzurri haven’t lived up to their billing as Serie A title favourites in the last month.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, the 39-year-old gave the view that the Nerazzurri’s Scudetto credentials have not looked solid during their run of games in February.

Inter had looked capable of running away at the top of the Serie A table based on their form in November and December, and they largely maintained their advantage in January.

During the team’s four matches in February, however, two wins and two draws saw the Nerazzurri’s lead at the top evaporate and they now find themselves locked in a highly competitive Scudetto race.

Cassano believes that the time has not shown that they can be clear favourites for the Scudetto based on their issues in Feburary.

“Inter have always been the team that we’ve said are favourites for the Scudetto,” Cassano said, “but they haven’t convinced me in the last month.”
