Inter-owned striker Andrea Pinamonti is hoping to be able to reach double figures for goals this season on loan at Empoli.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, the 22-year-old expressed the desire to reach his goal of ten or more goals for the season in what is turning out to be a breakout campaign with the newly-promoted team.

Pinamonti looks to have found the right club for his development in the form of Empoli, proving to be one of the key players as the Tuscan side have cemented a place for themselves in midtable in their first campaign back in Serie A.

The Inter-owned striker was not able to get on the scoresheet in his side’s 0-0 draw with Genoa earlier today, but it was still an important result for them, and he will be confident that he can find the goal that he needs in the matches that remain this season.

Whether Pinamonti’s future is at Inter or at another club, it is clear that he is beginning to announce himself in Serie A.

“I hope to get back to scoring and reach double figures, even at this stage,” he said. “We’ve never lost our way, the results aren’t there right now and they make a difference, especially from now on they will be vital.”
