Inter wing-back Ivan Perisic is back in training despite having dealt with a minor muscle strain which caused him to miss Friday evening’s Serie A win over Salernitana.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Croat participated in part of a normal training session with his teammates, and should be fit to face Liverpool on Tuesday.

Perisic had to pull out of the starting eleven against Salernitana not long before kickoff, having pulled up with a muscle problem.

However, it never looked as though the injury was a serious one, and now the 33-year-old is already back in training.

Perisic participated in half of a normal training session with his teammates yesterday, whilst he spent the rest of the session doing personalized work, with no further medical tests necessary.

The Croat should be fit for Tuesday’s Champions League clash, though should he be a doubt then either Matteo Darmian or Robin Gosens could start in place of him on the left.
