Ivan Perisic will be fit to start Inter’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg against Liverpool on Tuesday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who also report that Arturo Vidal is the favourite to start in midfield in the match.

Vidal is in contention for a place in midfield along with Roberto Gagliardini, but given that the Chilean played well in the first place when called upon to take the place of the suspended Nicolo Barella, it is likely that he will do so again.

Meanwhile, Perisic had suffered a minor muscle strain before kickoff of the Nerazzurri’s Serie A win over Salernitana on Friday which caused him to miss the match, but he will not likely miss the Liverpool match because of it.

The Croat completed half a normal training session with the team and half a personalized workout yesterday, whilst no further tests were needed on his injury.
