Inter are accelerating their pursuit of Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca and midfielder Davide Frattesi, who they hope to sign on initial loan deals with purchase obligations.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri could look to sign the pair on similar deals to the one which brought Manuel Locatelli to Juventus last summer.

Scamacca and Frattesi are two of the Nerazzurri’s main targets to strengthen during the summer transfer window, though neither player are set to come cheap given their form this season.

However, the club have been meeting with Sassuolo trying to get a deal done for both players, including a recent meeting over dinner after their Coppa Italia win over Roma in which the Neroverdi indicated that they would be open with a loan plus purchase obligation.

By initially signing the players on loan with an obligation to sign them on a permanent basis later, the Nerazzurri could more feasibly bring both players in.
