Striker Edin Dzeko is one of the few players in Inter’s squad with extensive experience playing against Liverpool ahead of tomorrow evening’ Champions League clash with the Reds.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note that the 35-year-old’s experience could be key to completing an improbable comeback, and that this is the type of match that he was signed for.

Dzeko spent five seasons with Manchester City in the Premier League between 2011 and 2015, where he regularly faced the Reds as an opponent.

The Bosnian scored twice against Liverpool for the Cityzens in the league, including once at Anfield, whilst he also scored at Anfield in the League Cup.

Meanwhile, Dzeko got both of Roma’s goals in the 5-2 defeat at Anfield in the first leg of the 2018 Champions League semi-final, before scoring in the reverse leg as well, a 4-2 win for the Giallorossi.

The Bosnian has extensive experience across his time in Germany, England, and Italy, and the Nerazzurri will be hoping that he can use all of his experience in tomorrow’s massive match.
