Joaquin Correa could start for Inter in tomorrow’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg against Liverpool.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that a start in place of either Lautaro Martinez or Edin Dzeko cannot be ruled out for the Argentine.

Martinez and Dzeko are the likeliest pair to start up front given what they showed against Salernitana, but dropping to the bench initially cannot be excluded, especially for the latter who is among the Inter players with the most fatigue.

In the event that one of the starting strikers drops to the bench, then it will likely be Correa rather than Alexis Sanchez who replaces them in the lineup, with the 27-year-old fully fit.

Meanwhile, Arturo Vidal is set to take the place of the suspended Nicolo Barella in the starting eleven as he had done in the first leg, while Ivan Perisic is 100% fit after suffering a minor muscle strain.
