Juventus are set to lower their offer on a new deal for forward Paulo Dybala when they sit down for contract extension talks on Thursday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Bianconeri will not put forward the same deal that they did in the fall, and that Inter are ready to swoop for a free transfer should he not renew.

During the fall, Juventus had had an offer on the table for a four-year worth €8 million net per season plus €2 million in add-ons, but they are no longer ready to make such an offer.

The Turin giants have doubts about the 28-year-old’s fitness, and have also begun building their attack around Dusan Vlahovic who arrive from Fiorentina in January.

The offer that Dybala’s agent receives when he meets with the Bianconeri hierarchy will be for a three-year deal worth around €7 million net per season, and it remains to be seen if the player will accept such an offer.

Should the Argentine decide that he does not want to accept a wage reduction and that he is not central to the Bianconeri’s project, there would be no shortage of suitors for him.

Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are following the situation, as are clubs in the Premier League, but Inter could be the team who are most ready to make their move for Dybala should he be available on a free transfer.
