Inter wing-back Ivan Perisic and midfielder Marcelo Brozovic have been called up to the Croatian national team for the friendlies scheduled during the international break.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri duo have been named among the squad to face Slovenia and Bulgaria in friendlies during the break.

The Croatian national team will face Slovania on March 26, and then play Bulgaria on March 29, with the team just participating in friendlies due to having already qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Perisic and Brozovic remain key players for their national team as they are for their club, having also played important roles in reaching the 2018 World Cup final and then the round of sixteen at the Euros last summer.

They will also be joined in the squad by three former Nerazzurri players in the form of midfielder Matteo Kovacic, defender Sime Vrsaljko, and striker Marko Livaja.
