Liverpool will be without the likes of Roberto Firmino and Thiago Alcantara in tomorrow’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg against Liverpool.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the pair are likely to miss out as they are still out of training through injury for the moment.

Inter head into tomorrow’s match with a full squad, and they will be hoping that an advantage in fitness and player availability could help them to what looks like a mammoth undertaking in overturning the Reds’ 2-0 advantage in the first leg.

Firmino and Thiago are still not back in training so should miss the match, whilst forward Diogo Jota is still coming back to full fitness, having made a ten-minute cameo in the Reds’ Premier League win over West Ham United during the weekend.

Defender Joel Matip is also a doubt for the match, though Ibrahima Konate filled in well for the Cameroonian in the first leg at the San Siro.
