Inter are set to hand head coach Simone Inzaghi a contract extension until the end of June 2025 at the end of the current season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are certain that they want to continue on with the coach and that he will be given a salary increase to €5 million net per season plus add-ons.

Inzaghi signed a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri when he joined from Lazio last summer, with the club not yet totally ready to commit to the 45-year-old long term as they put their faith in him to take over from Antonio Conte.

However, the club and President Steven Zhang have been completely satisfied with the work that the coach has done, keeping the team in the driver’s seat in the Scudetto race and qualifying for the Champions League round of sixteen for the first time in a decade.

Accordingly, the club have every intention of offering the coach a new deal at the end of the campaign to secure his future.
