Legendary former Juventus, Napoli, and Italian national team goalkeeper Dino Zoff feels that there is still everything to play for at the top of Serie A.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FootbalNews24.it, the former keeper gave the view that all three of Inter, AC Milan, and Napoli remain contenders for the Scudetto.

Milan’s 1-0 victory over Napoli on Sunday evening looks to have been a shift in the title race in Serie A, with the Rossoneri pulling decisively ahead of the Partenopei, as well as Inter albeit with the Nerazzurri having a game in hand.

The result will have been a major boost to Milan’s confidence and momentum, though Inter’s fate is still in their own hands, whilst Napoli have still shown the quality to come back in it despite the setback.

Zoff feels that it remains open as ever between the tree teams at the top of the table, even with the Rossoneri looking to be the side with momentum at the moment.

“I would say that Milan have found great strength and conviction, which will allow them to fight until the end,” he said.

He went on that “Despite the result, I believe that Napoli must also keep believing right until the end. Spalletti’s men have encountered some problems in their most recent matches, but these things happen.”

“Even against Lazio, despite the victory, some difficulties were apparent,” he added. “I feel like saying that Napoli are still in the running.”

“The same goes, of course, for Inter,” Zoff said. “The Nerazzurri still have to play their game in hand which, regardless of the result, will still keep the title question open.”
