Inter have agreed on wages of €5 million net per season for a contract extension with Ivan Perisic, but they have yet to agree on the duration of a potential new deal.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the club are closer than ever to agreeing a new contract with the Croat and that only the length of the contract remains to be agreed.

The Nerazzurri have been in contract talks with Perisic since the beginning of last month, with the 33-year-old seeing his current deal expire at the end of June and his performances over the season convincing the club to try and keep him on.

The club have risen to €5 million net per season in their offer to convince the player, and this looks to be enough.

However, the club are still only offering a one-year deal which includes the option of extending a further season, whilst the player is hoping for a guaranteed two-year extension.

According to FCInterNews, it is likely that Perisic will agree on a one-year extension which includes an optional extension which becomes mandatory for the club if certain conditions are met, such as appearances during the season.

The next meeting regarding the contract extension is set to place during the international break.
