Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is hoping to have both midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and defender Stefan de Vrij back in time for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Torino.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the pair will both undergo tests on the calf injuries they picked up yesterday to determine how serious they are.

De Vrij was substituted at halftime in yesterday’s 1-0 win over Liverpool in the Champions League, whilst Brozovic came off with around fifteen minutes to go in the match.

Both players had picked up calf problems, de Vrij to his left and Brozovic to his right, and it hasn’t been immediately clear how serious the injuries are or how long the players will miss with injury.

Brozovic is scheduled to undergo tests this afternoon to update on his condition, whilst de Vrij should undergo tests in the next 24-36 hours, with the coach hoping that both will be back as soon as the team’s next game, on Sunday.
