Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio is proud to have helped his team to a 1-0 win over Liverpool in the Champions League even if it was not enough to go through to the quarter-finals of the competition.
The 33-year-old came on at halftime and helped his team see out a clean sheet and go ahead in the match to hand the Reds their first loss at Anfield in a year.
D’Ambrosio posted on his Instagram account after the match to show that he’s proud even if it was not enough to go on in the competition.
He captioned the post, “You can fall down, but you can never stop fighting! Forza Inter!”
