Inter have confirmed that Marcelo Brozovic’s medical tests after the match against Liverpool have returned no fitness issues, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As was announced by the club on Thursday morning, the Croatian midfielder underwent tests on Wednesday when the team had returned to Milan from England to see if he had picked up a serious injury in the Champions League Round of 16 second leg against Liverpool.

The tests confirmed that he is not injured and he is expected to play against Torino on Sunday night. The Croatian performed well against Liverpool in the 1-0 defeat on Tuesday night but it was not enough to see Inter through to the next round.

He was substituted in the second half and appeared to be limping slightly, which is why the medical tests were undertaken.

Marcelo Brozovic is still expected to be signing a new contract at Inter very soon.
