Inter defender Stefan de Vrij has been ruled out of the Torino match on Sunday through injury and may miss the Fiorentina clash as well, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Dutch defender picked up an injury during the match against Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

He has a muscular issue in one of his legs and that is why he was replaced at half time at Anfield by Danilo D’Ambrosio. That is the player who is likely to replace him in the back three against Torino on Sunday night.

The Dutchman has struggled for form in recent weeks and has begun to be loosely linked with a move away from the club as Inter know they could make a good capital gain as they signed him on a free transfer from Lazio in 2018.
