Inter turned 114 yesterday, celebrating the anniversary of their founding in 1908, and few figures have done more to shape the club over more than half a century than Javier Zanetti.
The Argentine made close to a thousand appearances in a Nerazzurri shirt, most of them as captain, and he currently serves as the club’s Vice-President, continuing to guide the team into the future.
Zanetti posted to celebrate the club’s birthday on his Instagram account.
He captioned the post, “The greatness of your story, The elegance of your colours, The passion of your fans, The beauty of your businesses, The class of your legends, The emotion of special nights, The wonder of being part of this infinite journey that knows no boundaries. 114 years of pride, passion, pure love from Milan to every corner of the world.”
