Inter are still assessing the fitness of Marcelo Brozovic ahead of the match against Torino on Sunday night, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport, via FCInter1908, Marcelo Brozovic underwent a differentiated training program on Thursday in order to monitor the fitness issue he reported against Liverpool on Tuesday night in the Champions League.

Despite the club announcing that the medical tests returned a clean bill of health for the Croatian midfielder, the coaches are still playing it safe.

The next two training sessions before the match against Torino will be key to understanding if he is fit enough to start in Simone Inzaghi’s midfield or not. The general feeling in the camp is positive about his chances of playing.

Inter will definitely be without Stefan de Vrij who suffered an injury against Liverpool and has been ruled out of Sunday’s game.
