Inter defender Stefan de Vrij underwent injury treatment on Friday after he picked up an issue against Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Dutch defender was forced to come off at half time against Liverpool and be replaced by Danilo D’Ambrosio.
He will now miss the Torino match and the Fiorentina game next weekend.
Marcelo Brozovic also picked up an injury in that game but he still looks very likely to start against Torino in midfield. He underwent a personalised training program once again and will be fully evaluated again on Saturday.
He is expected to be training fully with his teammates tomorrow in the afternoon before the team travels to Turin ahead of Sunday night’s fixture at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. The game is at 20:45 local time.
