New Inter defender Robin Gosens may have to wait until the Fiorentina match next Saturday to make his first start for his new club, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by Corriere dello Sport, there had been suggestions that the German wing back would start the game against Torino on Sunday evening but that now seems less likely to happen.

Ivan Perisic is the favourite to keep his place in the team for the match in Piedmont and then he will make way next weekend against Fiorentina for the former Atalanta man.

This is because the Inter coaches want to carry on building Robin Gosens’ match fitness before he starts a game from the first minute. That means he will probably be introduced in the second half against Torino, depending on how the game is panning out and how Ivan Perisic is performing.
