Edin Dzeko is on the cusp of reaching 100 goals in Serie A and will hope to move a step closer to that milestone as Inter take on Torino tomorrow.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Bosnia international has been a decisive figure at every club he has featured for, and alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, is one of only two players to score more than 50 goals in three of Europe’s top five leagues.

Dzeko fired Wolfsburg to the Bundesliga title in Germany, before his goals helped Manchester City win the Premier League, and he has since proved prolific in Serie A after joining Roma in 2015, and Inter last summer.

Despite approaching his 36th birthday next week, the striker remains an important element of Inter’s team and coach Simone Inzaghi rested him in the Champions League against Liverpool in midweek, keeping him fresh for Torino.

With 97 Serie A goals to his name, including 85 for Roma and 12 for Inter, Dzeko could have more reason to celebrate with a hattrick against the Granata as he closes in on a century of goals in Italy’s top flight.
