Inter are set to welcome back Nicolo Barella to their starting line-up against Torino tomorrow, after the midfielder served a suspension against Liverpool in midweek.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Italian international missed both legs of the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 aggregate defeat to the Premier League club after serving a two-match ban for a red card in the Group Stage, but is in line to face Torino.

Barella is likely to be joined in the centre of midfield by Marcelo Brozovic after tests ruled out injury for the Croatian, despite him going off in the second half with an issue against Liverpool.

Elsewhere, Danilo D’Ambrosio is expected to replace the injured Stefan De Vrij at centre-back, with the former Torino man ahead of Andrea Ranocchia in the pecking order, whilst coach Simone Inzaghi still had decisions to make about the flanks.

Ivan Perisic is likely to retain his place at left wing-back, delaying Robin Gosens’ first start for Inter further, whilst Denzel Dumfries is leading the race to feature on the right ahead of Matteo Darmian.
