Midfielder Arturo Vidal is set to start for Inter in this evening’s Serie A clash with Torino, taking the place of the injured Marcelo Brozovic in the centre of the pitch.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who predict that the Chilean will start, while they also report that Ivan Perisic and Denzel Dumfries should take their usual starting places on the wings.

Brozovic’s injury leaves Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi needing to find a solution in midfield to compensate for the absence of the highly influential Croat.

The possibility that either Roberto Gagliardini or Matias Vecino could line up in midfield from the start can’t be ruled out, but according to the Corriere, Vidal looks favourite based on how he has performed in the deep role in training, and how he filled in for Nicolo Barella against Liverpool.

Meanwhile, the Corriere reports that Perisic and Dumfries will continue to be preferred as the starting wing-back pairing, but that Robin Gosens and Matteo Darmian should come on during the second half.
