Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi knows that the Nerazzurri virtually have eleven finals left to play in their Serie A season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN ahead of this evening’s clash with Torino, the coach emphasized that the team cannot afford to drop any points without risking losing out on the title to their rivals at the top of the table.

AC Milan won their game against Empoli yesterday evening, whilst Napoli beat Verona earlier today, meaning that the Nerazzurri could finish the weekend behind both of the pair by several points should they fail to beat Torino.

Inter have a game in hand on both the Rossoneri and the Partenopei so their fate is in their own hands, but they can take nothing for granted against teams the quality of the Granata.

After this evening, Inter will face the likes of Fiorentina and then Juventus after the international break, and it will hardly get easier from then on.

Inzaghi said that “We come into this match off of two very important wins. Tonight will be a very complicated match, but we have prepared ourselves in the best way.”

Asked whether the team will miss the injured Marcelo Brozovic, the coach replied “No. Over the course of a season there are always absences and injuries.”

“From now on all our matches will be important,” he added, “we will have to do well and deal with them one match at a time.”
