Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi looks likely to put his faith in Matias Vecino in midfield during this evening’s Serie A clash with Torino.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the coach will start the Uruguayan for the match alongside Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu with Marcelo Brozovic our injured.

Inzaghi will have a difficult selection decision on his hands with key midfielder Brozovic set to miss this evening’s match through a muscle injury picked up against Liverpool during the week.

The 29-year-old has no real like-for-like backup in the squad, and the last time the coach tried to accommodate for his absence in the team, the Nerazzurri lost 2-0 against Sassuolo.

During that match, Nicolo Barella attempted to directly replicate then contributions of the suspended Brozovic, but against the Granata this evening, Inzaghi has other plans.

Vecino has not been a regular starter for Inter by any means this season, but the coach looks set to give him a starting role in midfield this evening.
