Inter striker Lautaro Martinez will come up against one of his favourite opponents in Serie A this evening when the Nerazzurri travel to face Torino.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who note that the 24-year-old’s five goals against the Granata are more than he’s scored against any other team in the league apart from Cagliari.

Martinez’s goalscoring form will be crucial to the Nerazzurri in the run-in of the Serie A season, with the Argentine having endured a slump in form that coincided with a bad patch by the team as a whole, but looking to be back to scoring.

The 24-year-old powered his team to an emphatic win over Salernitana last Friday with a well-taken hat-trick, whilst he also found the back of the net against Liverpool on Tuesday.

The Nerazzurri will need Martinez to keep this up on a consistent basis as they try to fight off the likes of AC Milan and Napoli in the Scudetto race, however, and on precedent he could be facing the right opponents to pick right back up where he left off in front of goal.
