Young midfielder Lucien Agoume could be used as the backup for Marcelo Brozovic at Inter next season based on his form on loan with Brest this campaign.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 20-year-old has the right characteristics to cement a role in the Nerazzurri squad deputizing for Brozovic, and that he looks to be ready.

Agoume had spent last campaign on loan with Spezia where he was not able to find regular playing time, but this time around he has established himself as a key player for Brest in Ligue 1.

With the young Frenchman rapidly developing within the senior game, he could be the right solution to the question of finding a player to back up Brozovic given that the Croat will expect to play regularly and could be best backed up by a younger player.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport also report that it is unlikely that Stefano Sensi will be used for the role, but suggest that the 26-year-old could be part of a swap for Morten Thorsby from Sampdoria, and also report that Lecce’s Morten Hjulmand is a candidate to back up Brozovic.
