Matias Vecino To Start For Inter In Serie A Clash With Torino, Italian Media Report

Inter midfielder Matias Vecino is set to start in this evening’s Serie A clash with Torino in place of the injured Marcelo Brozovic.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who include the 30-year-old in their predicted starting eleven for the clash, and also anticipate that Danilo D’Ambrosio will start in defense.

Brozovic picked up a muscle injury during the Nerazzurri’s Champions League clash with Liverpool on Tuesday, and the Croat will not recover in time to play against the Granata this evening.

Accordingly, coach Simone Inzaghi will have a decision to make in midfield, and looks set to go with Vecino alongside Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta also report that D’Ambrosio is favourite to start in defense over Andrea Ranocchia with Stefan de Vrij out injured as well, while they report that Joaquin Correa could challenge Lautaro Martinez for a start.
