Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi started the wrong team against Torino, but went some way towards rectifying his mistakes with his second-half substitutions.

The coach received decent but mediocre scores for his tactical approach in the player ratings for the match across Italian media, as reported by L’Interista, though the grades could have been much lower if not for the changes.

Inter looked out of sorts for much of the first half against the Granata, unable to put their stamp on proceedings against a high-pressing opponent.

The coach recognized that changes needed to be made with his team not playing at the right tempo throughout, and so he brought on Robin Gosens and Federico Dimarco at the start of the half before throwing on Arturo Vidal, Joaquin Correa, and the scorer of the equalizer Alexis Sanchez.

Inzaghi received a score of 5/10 for his approach in the Gazzetta dello Sport, whilst TuttoMercatoWeb, Tuttosport, and L’Interista all gave him 5.5/10, and the Corriere dello Sport went as high as 6/10.
