Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is set to make his return from injury in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina next weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 29-year-old will be back in the team for Saturday after missing yesterday evening’s 1-1 draw with Torino through a muscle problem.

Brozovic’s influence had been missed by the Nerazzurri as they slumped to a 1-1 draw in which they looked ill-equipped to cope with the Granata’s well-organized and physical style of pressing in midfield.

The Croat had been out with a calf problem which he had come off with during the second half of Inter’s Champions League round of sixteen second leg against Liverpool last Tuesday.

However, the injury is not a serious one, and the midfielder is on track to complete his recovery shortly and be back in time to face La Viola as the Nerazzurri look to get their Scudetto charge back on track.
