Genoa have continued their remarkable run of draws in Serie A, showing that under coach Alexander Blessin, they are one of the hardest teams in the league to beat, but also not very adept at getting three points that they need in the relegation race.

As football statistics account Opta pointed out in a tweet, they are the first team to draw this many matches in a row in the Italian top flight since Inter did so under coach Roberto Mancini in 2004.

Their tweet reads, “7 – #Genoa have drawn 7 Serie A matches in a row for the first time in their history; in the last 30 years, only Inter have drawn 7 top Italian league games in a row (between October and November 2004, under Roberto Mancini). Balance.
