Torino defender Bremer scored his eleventh goal in Serie A with his opener against Inter, and this made him the highest-scoring player in his position since 2019.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who highlight how the Brazilian is now clear as the highest-scoring defender in Serie A.

Bremer has drawn accolades for the quality of his defensive displays this season, with the 24-year-old kicking on from a positive campaign last season to become perhaps the outstanding defender in the Italian top flight this time around.

The defender’s intelligent positioning, timing, and physical prowess on the defensive side of the game are his best attributes, but he has also shown on a consistent basis that he can add value to the team at the other end of the pitch.

Bremer has been a threat from set pieces since joining the Granata, and he was once again in the right place at the right time to finish with composure when the ball fell to him from an early corner against Inter.
