UEFA have asked Inter to make adjustments to their next financial statements in view of the changes to the Financial Fair Play regulations that are on the way.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri met with the governing body’s financial regulatory board on Friday where the request was made.

Inter are one of a number of clubs into which UEFA have opened proceedings regarding their failure to balance their budget during the post-COVID period.

The proceedings are not aimed at sanctioning any of the clubs involved, but the top governing body in European football is looking to deal with the new financial landscape that clubs are facing.

Inter have been asked to adjust their financial statements going forward in view of the new regulations which are set to replace the existing FFP guidelines which have become more and more difficult for clubs to follow due to the pandemic.
