Former Inter defender Graziano Bini believes that the Nerazzurri’s match against Torino this weekend in Serie A will be decisive for their season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TuttoMercatoWeb, the 67-year-old gave the view that the clash with La Viola is must-win for the team’s title hopes, and also spoke about the impossibility of replacing Marcelo Brozovic.

Inter find themselves five points behind city rivals AC Milan and two behind Napoli at the top of the Serie A table, and even with their game in hand they no longer find themselves in control of their own destiny in the Scudetto chase.

Every match from here on out is virtually must-win for the Nerazzurri as they aim to take advantage of any stumbles by their rivals at the top of the table.

After Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Torino made it just two wins from their last eight matches in the league, Inter have virtually no option but to get back to winning ways against Fiorentina.

“[Against Torino] the team struggled a lot but I’ll wait until after they face Fiorentina to make calculations,” he said.

“For 3-4 matches, Inter have struggled physically in the last twenty minutes,” he went on, “on Tuesday they played against Liverpool and a bit of tiredness can happen, but now they can’t make any mistakes any longer.”

He continued that “They have a large squad. It was the case that Torino ran like all Juric’s teams do, and they always arrived first to the ball. Brozovic doesn’t have a replacement in Italy or anywhere in the world.”

Bini stressed that “The decisive match will be the one against Fiorentina, it’s the one to win in order to regain momentum. There are still thirty points available and that isn’t a small amount.”

“It will be a difficult match against La Viola,” he added, “I know that Fiorentina are having a good season, they have an excellent coach and I fear them, even if Vlahovic is no longer there.”

He concluded that “After the match against Fiorentina I will have clearer ideas about Inter.”
